I tried these before adding olives and cheese and the first thing that struck me, was the odd taste. They tasted slightly fishy which was a bit off-putting. Once disguised with other things, they were OK and the usual texture of oatcakes. I wonder if the ‘sea vegetable’ element caused the strange taste? I’ll use them up but I wont have them again.
The oatcakes are nice and crumbly with an oaty toasty flavour and a mild kick from the black pepper.
