Einkorn is a prehistoric type of wheat and makes a golden wholegrain flour. It is used to make breads and has a deeper flavour and more rustic finish than normal wheat flour.

Makes delicious bread

This is the first time I've used Einkorn flour, and it made a delicious loaf in my breadmaker. Einkorn is not gluten-free, but it is said to be less hybridized than other types of wheat. It does have a denser consistency than other flours I've used. Although I don't have a serious gluten intolerance, I find that my digestion is happier if I avoid it. I've been eating the Einkorn bread for two days, and so far my digestion has been fine, but time will tell.
