Description
This vibrant and expressive Portuguese white showcases the unique character of the Vinho Verde region. Crafted from a classic blend of Avesso 34%, Arinto 33% and Alverinho 33% that’s fermented and aged in stainless steel, this wine delivers a fresh, crisp profile with lively acidity. On the nose, it opens with notes of citrus blossom, green apple, and subtle mineral undertones. The palate is refreshing and textured, featuring flavours of lemon zest, steely apple and a hint of salinity that reflects its Atlantic influence. Well-balanced and elegant, this wine pairs beautifully with seafood, grilled vegetables or simply enjoyed on its own as an aperitif.
About the Estate
A&D Wines is a family company based in the Vinho Verde region, which is located up in the cool, rainy, verdant north west part of Portugal. At their main estate, Quinta de Santa Teresa, they have planted 45 hectares of certified organic vineyards, where white and rosé wines are produced with a minimalistic and sustainable approach. “Our goal is to transmit the character of our grape varieties and our land, with care and attention to all details”. Their sub-region of Baião is ideal to produce Vinho Verde wines with the freshness and acidity typical of the region but also wines with structure, harmony and some ageing potential.
