Peelham Farm Frozen Gluten-Free Haggis
This organic gluten-free haggis is made using the traditional recipe of lamb and mutton offal (heart, liver, kidneys) with some beef offal, mutton flank, fresh onions and guaranteed gluten-free oatmeal from the Montgarrie Mill, Aberdeenshire. This is a high-quality, certified, monitored, single-source oatmeal from the one farm near Laurencekirk. And it's excellent quality!
It offers those who either can't or who would prefer not to risk any gluten in their diet, a chance to savour the haggis experience! And it's packed full of the super-food nutritional goodness of offal (organ meats)
COOKING YOUR HAGGIS: Wrap in silver foil or butter paper: Either roast 50mins at 180dC or boil and simmer very gently for 45 minutes. Simmering results in a moister haggis
Set your haggis ‘free’ by opening the casing down the middle and spooning onto plates served with mashed potatoes and neeps (swede or turnip) and with a whiskey butter sauce. Gently melt your butter and add whiskey to taste!
