N R Stoate & Sons is a family run traditional stone mill in Dorset that has been milling flour the proper old fashioned way for generations.
UK legislation requires all flour producers milling more than 500 metric tonnes per year to add folic acid to their white flour, but because Stoate's produce below this threshold they are completely exempt from this requirement.
This means their flour contains nothing but pure beautifully milled wheat — just as nature intended and just as flour has always been.

Their traditional stone milling process is slower and more careful than modern roller milling, preserving far more of the natural nutrients, flavour and character of the grain.
