Tasting Notes
- Nose: Citrus, peach, apricot, wildflowers, stone fruits, cereal notes.
- Palate: Lemon posset, spiced rye bread, juicy blackberry, pomegranate, licorice, orange zest; elegant, fruity, smooth with subtle spice.
- Finish: Long, generous, with lingering fruit and gentle tannins.
Description
A smooth and elegant whisky with delicious flavors of citrus, peach, apricot and spice however you drink it. Made using unpeated organic Scottish barley whose low-yielding grains have a concentrated intensity, providing exceptional body, texture and depth of flavor. This single malt is matured in specially treated red wine and American whisky barrels alongside a small amount of sherry casks. Recycled glass, and beautiful presentation and gift box also.
About the Estate
Annabel Thomas started Nc’nean to change the way the world thinks about Scotch. Her mission was to create a whisky which could exist in harmony with this planet we call home. After leaving her job in London in 2013, she spent four years raising funds and building the distillery from the ground up on the west coast of Scotland. Distilling since 2017 their single malt is their first whisky on the market. They use organic Scottish barley in a distillery powered by renewable energy and recycle 99.97% of their waste. Bottled in a 100% recycled clear glass bottle.
