Panko breadcrumbs are characterised by their larger flakes and lighter texture than conventional breadcrumbs, making for a delicious crispy crust. It is mainly used for coating meat, fish, seafood, vegetables or cheese. It is great for coating fried foods because it absorbs less oil and fat than conventional breadcrumbs.
